We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to analyse huge amounts of raw data to find trends that will help us improve our business. For this position, you should be extremely analytical and have strong skills in analytics, mathematics, and statistics. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are required for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Search for useful data sources and automate data collection methods.

• Pre-processing both organised and unstructured data.

• Creating machine learning algorithms and predictive models.

• Using data visualisation tools to present information.

• Providing solutions and approaches to business problems.

Qualifications and skills

• Demonstrated experience as a data scientist or analyst.

• Experience in data processing.

• Understanding of machine learning and research

• Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python is required; knowledge of Scala, Java, or C++ is a plus.

• Knowledge of business intelligence tools (such as Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop)

• Excellent mathematical skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)

• BSc/ BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline is required, with a degree in Data Science or other quantitative field desirable
